Rules

If you are accepted into the Locker Room show:

The $300 purchase price of the custom-built lockers has been waived.

  • Your locker will be featured as part of the Locker Room installation in the Locker Room show.
  • You will get at least one published page in The Locker Room Book, which will feature your locker, art installation, your name and artist statement.
  • You and your locker will be a part of the documentary following the Locker Room Project.
  • This will be your locker to do your installation in, on or around.
  • Every locker is for sale throughout the show. If a locker is sold, the Artist will receive 50% of the purchase price. Purchase prices for each locker will be decided upon by the Gallery and Artist before the show.
  • 1. Any medium is accepted. This includes but is not limited to installation, paintings, photography, sculpture, digital art, illustration, video, craft, art-related product and/or merchandise, etc.

    2. No illegal contraband can be stored in or as part of the lockers. This includes weapons, drugs, etc.

    3. There are no creative restrictions on what can be done to the locker.

    4. The locker door must be able to close.

    5. You will have one month to install and execute your locker. You must pick up or pay for the shipping of your locker one month before the installation of the show. Artists must complete installation within the given timeframe. There are no exceptions.

    6. You must bring your finished locker to the gallery on the specified date of installation for the show.

    7. If installation is not completed within this timeframe, Ghettogloss will revoke the artist’s ownership of locker and locker will remain as is on display during the exhibition. The artist’s name will remain on the incomplete locker.

    8. No lockers may be shared amongst artists. Whoever the locker is assigned to will be represented in the exhibition.

    9. Your locker installation may not include anything that is living or perishable, anything that has an odor, or anything that may affect other lockers and/or the installation in any way.

    10. Ghettogloss retains the rights of any and all merchandising pertaining to the Locker Room Project.

    11. All artists are required to sign a release form for any and all use of likeliness pertaining to them and their contents in their locker and in The Locker Room Project for use in The Locker Room book, documentary, promotional material, etc.

    12. Ghettogloss will be documenting all Locker Room shows as part of a documentary. All artists will be required to sign a film release. Ghettogloss retains all the rights to the documentary of the Locker Room Project. Although not necessary, it may be in your best interest to gear the idea behind your installation towards your first significant locker room experience, as the show is conceptual and will be promoted as such.
